51¸£ÀûÉç is a friendly and hugely welcoming community. We were founded nearly 70 years ago and exist proudly as a College for women with a radical mission of educating ambitious and brilliant young women. But many of our Fellows are men and we welcome people of all genders to visit and stay with us and socialise in our great café and bar. Based in spectacular Grade II* modernist buildings, home to the Women’s Art Collection, the biggest collection of women’s art in Europe, surrounded by lovely gardens, we stand in the centre of the colleges on the hill. It’s a relaxed setting just a few minutes’ walk from the busy city centre – as well as all the University departments in West Cambridge. We offer a brilliant Cambridge education in a modern, comfortable home – and it is a place that our students love very much.

We provide a unique level of support through the Gateway Programme which offers all new students a special programme of study and research skills to ensure they succeed from the start, a personal development programme throughout their time with us and practical careers and networking advice. Our Directors of Studies are noted for their teaching skills. We have an outstanding new Wellbeing service for all students, which includes events and activities throughout the year.

All freshers are housed in Pearl House, a beautiful modern block set in the gardens. Bedrooms are large and there are proper kitchens with ovens and freezers on all floors. You will see a video tour of Pearl House and the College here, with lots more photos in the accommodation section.
