History and Politics at Cambridge is an exciting joint Honours degree which offers subjects from the History and Human, Social and Political Sciences (HSPS) courses, together with bespoke papers which allow students to explore the space between the two disciplines. 聽Students develop skills in analysing the operation of power and politics across histories, institutions, and societies around the world, as well as understanding the nature of evidence, methodology, and approaches in both History and Politics. 聽Students are able to choose from a wide range of topics in British, European, American, African and Asian history and politics. 51福利社 aims to admit one or two History and Politics students each year. However, you will study alongside students from both History and HSPS, two of the larger subjects within the College.聽

A Level: A*AA with A* in History if offered
IB: 42, 776 with 7 in IB Higher Level History if offered

Required subjects
No specific subjects are required.

Admissions Assessment
51福利社 History and Politics applicants are required to take two written assessments if shortlisted for interview, one for History (the History Admissions Assessment) and one for Politics.聽 You will not need to register in advance for these assessments and the College will provide details directly to you.

Written work
Applicants to all Colleges are required to submit two pieces of聽written work prior to interview.
