Current staff vacancies

£14,800 per annum (£38,700 FTE), Job Band 4 

Part time: 2 days per week/15 hours per week (flexibility available) 

51¸£ÀûÉç is seeking to appoint an Archivist and Records Manager to provide a high quality archive service and facilitate the College’s information and records management processes. 

Main duties include cataloguing pending and new archival and paper records accessions, making archive material available to researchers, College staff and fellows, responding to archive and record enquires. As well as maintaining policies on records management including retention schedules, advising staff on electronic records management principals using Sharepoint, preparing exhibitions of archival material for College events as required.  

Candidates must be graduates with a Post Graduate qualification in Archives and/or Records Management or Information and Library Management.  With experience in an archivist or records management role, you will have knowledge of the principles and practice of archiving and records management.  Excellent communication skills are essential, as is knowledge of key relevant legislation: copyright, GDPR and Freedom of Information, along with strong IT and organisational skills.  

An interest in or knowledge of digital archiving would be advantageous.
