Outreach Events

We organise a range of outreach events throughout the year at 51¸£ÀûÉç, in our Link Areas and online. Dates and booking information for each of our events can be found below:
51¸£ÀûÉç’s 2025 webinar series will run weekly from January until June.
The series spans a huge range of subjects across arts, humanities, social sciences and STEM.
If you want to learn what it would be like to study at Cambridge, explore the webinars and to register your interest in attending. You can find more information about each of the sessions on our webinars page, which we will keep updated. Here are some of the subjects coming up soon:
April: Medicine, Applied Maths and Theoretical Physics
May: Maths, Medicine/ Psychological and Behavioural Sciences, Anglo Saxon, Norse and Celtic

Our Maths Open Morning will take place on Saturday 3rd May, from 10.00-13.30. This is designed to coincide with events which will be taking place in the Maths Faculty in the afternoon. Spend the morning at 51¸£ÀûÉç for a programme of taster sessions and talks, then enjoy a free lunch here in college before heading to the Maths Faculty in the afternoon.

Our She Talks Science STEP Summer School will take place from Monday 4th until Thursday 7th August 2025 and 50 places are available.
We are currently accepting applications, by 9am on Wednesday 23rd April 2025 to be considered.

If you are a keen GCSE linguist interested in learning about how to continue your studies, we’d love you to consider joining us at the Discover Opportunities at 51¸£ÀûÉç – Languages Summer School 2025.
The DOME Languages Summer School is a 2-day residential summer camp specifically aimed at giving 16-year-old women and non-binary students, who intend to start A Levels or equivalent next year, the opportunity to discover many of the different language-based degree programmes that are offered at the University of Cambridge.

Our Sixth Form Lecture Series is an in-person programme open to all but aimed at those in Years 12 and 13 who are interested in languages and literature. These will be held at 51¸£ÀûÉç fortnightly and within term time.
These are free to attend, delivered by fellows and focus on many of the common A Level texts and themes. Therefore, if you are a local student, teacher or interested member of the public, please come along.

We will be holding events in Spring 2025 in all three of our Link Areas for Year 12s who are studying English and would like to participate in our Reading Project this year.
These in-person taster sessions will introduce the programme and give you a chance to meet our Fellows and student ambassadors who will be working with you in the reading groups.
