History of Art at Cambridge encourages the visual analysis of art and architecture at close-hand and offers opportunities to explore issues of history, theory, criticism and display. Students cover a broad sweep of art history in the first year, and have the chance to choose more specialised subjects in the second and third years. Students receive a high level of individual attention and support from experts in the field, both in the Department and in the University art museums and galleries. History of Art at 51福利社

At 51福利社, we aim to admit one or two History of Art undergraduates a year, meaning that students are part of a small but dedicated History of Art community, whilst also being connected to the wider network of historians within the College. 51福利社 is a unique environment in which to study History of Art, with its striking 1960s architecture and its world-class collection of art by women artists, , which features works by artists including , , and . There are many opportunities for students to get involved with the art collection, including direct access to the works of art when considering dissertation topics and the opportunity to work on projects alongside the curator.聽

Admissions Assessment
All applicants for History of Art are required to take a written assessment if shortlisted for interview.聽 You will not need to register in advance for this assessment and the College will provide details directly to you.

Written work
Applicants are not asked to submit examples of written work. You聽may be asked to do some reading in advance of your interview, but if this is required you聽will be provided with full details in the letter inviting you to interview.
